I. Police
1) Budget Review 2009
1. Minimal increases mostly due to new hires.
2) Hiring Update
1. Hiring committee will recommend two new hires for Police Department. Mr. McKinney will start right away and Ms. McCormick will continue to go through training.
3) Training update
1. Dour Abrams is going through blood stain evidence training at ORATA.
2. Neil Korte and Jason Schope- Active Shooter School
3. Other officers are working at RELIS for school shooting training.
4) Power Outage review
1. Debriefing will be conducted on Oct. 2 @ 2 pm
II. Finance
1) Damage Assessment and Debris Removal
1. All forms have been submitted for reimbursement for expenses associated with power outage.
III. Administration
1) Administration Copier- George will lease new computer- Konica Minolta C451.
2) Tax e-file computer module- Tax Department is looking into offering this feature.
3) Appropriation Ordinance- Monies will be coming out of "contingency fund for under budgeted items.
4) Kay Divis Hiring Ordinance- Kay Divis will be working no more than 10 hours a week to help Cultural Arts Center with administrative assistance.
5) November Committee Meeting- Roger Cox will be at next months meeting. Horan and Associates will also be present to discuss renewal options and implementation of HSA.
Other items:
1) Review of 2009 Budget
Discussed the Police Budget. Committee will discuss the budget in more detail in November.
